Location: Bournemouth
Salary: £25,000 -£33,000 (DOE)
Hours: 40 hours a week working in the office.
We are working with a growing IT company currently evolving into a Managed Service Provider (MSP), and they're looking to welcome a proactive and solutions-focused IT Support Technician to their team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting both the technical operations and the ongoing growth of the business.
As an IT Support Technician, you'll be providing both 1st and 2nd line support to a wide range of clients across various industries. You'll gain hands-on experience with diverse technologies and contribute to a fast-paced, client-focused environment that values innovation and teamwork.
Responsibilities of the IT Support Technician:
• Deliver responsive and effective 1st & 2nd line technical support to clients.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and broader IT infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and maintain a variety of hardware and software systems.
• Conduct network troubleshooting and support, including cable testing and patching.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth service delivery and successful project completion
What were looking for from the IT Support Technician:
• Valid DBS clearance is required.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration (including SharePoint, Azure, and security features).
• Physically able to move and manage IT equipment as needed.
• Solid understanding of network infrastructure and cable management practices.
• Practical experience with PowerShell and scripting for system automation and admin tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Confident communicator with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-moving environment.
• A self-starter who can manage tasks independently but also enjoys being part of a collaborative team.
• Must hold a full, clean UK driving licence (or legal eligibility to drive in the UK).
• Positive, proactive mindset with a genuine passion for IT support.
