GENERAL SUMMARY
The Logistics Coordinator role is a flexible role that can cover all stores, Transport and Material co-ordinator roles whilst logging and transporting material parts where required.
Goods Receipt Notification (GRN).
Slinging of all heavy components and complex lifts within site.
Transport of all material moves required, including forklift, trailer, flatbed, crane including cab crane
Package and/or preserve goods for Dispatch
Packing cardboard and wooden boxes for dispatch
Transferring parts to appropriate Location within Stores areas and put away in the correct manner and ensure all Sap transactions are up to date
Ensure all kits are picked and issued to shop in appropriate manner and shortage reports issued with kits
Responsible for movement/progress of all parts within cell to next process infeed/outfeed.
Ensuring relevant materials are at appropriate work centre to deliver schedule and manage all exceptions
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (But Not Limited to)
Loading and unloading vehicles of various sizes from small vans to large HGV’s operating both a Forklift Truck and manual pick up trolley.
Goods Receipt Notification (GRN).
Issuing materials to shop floor for Machining.
Shrink Wrapping and banding goods that are ready for dispatch using the shrink-wrap machine.
Complete Commercial Grade Paperwork in accordance with nuclear pump process.
General Forklift Truck duties which involve delivering goods throughout the shopfloor.
Recording serial number details for each unique component on each Route Card.
Sub-Con and Return to Vendor processes.
Liaise with buyers due to problem deliveries.
Non-conformance reports (NCR)
Visually check components received at stores to ensure no defects/ and to ensure product is not going out to customers incorrectly
Responsible for movement/progress of all parts within cell to next process infeed/outfeed.
Ensuring relevant materials are at appropriate work centre to deliver schedule and manage all exceptions.
Complete all relevant SAP transactions with regards to goods movement.
Move parts to/from correct areas in the Subcontract process.
Move parts to/from correct areas in the RTV process.
Slinging of all heavy components and complex lifts within site.
Transport of all material moves required, including forklift, trailer, flatbed, crane including cab crane.
Management of all waste materials within areas, including emptying bins and skips, including metal skips.
Management of chemical waste within area of responsibility, including oil spillages, material segregation etc.
Supporting shipping department on an ongoing basis when required
Transferring parts to appropriate Carousel or Location within Central Stores and put away in the correct manner and ensure all Sap transactions are up to date
Picking X-parts for kitting / spares
Gauge management
Active role in Stock Checking when required
Dealing with customers at window when required
Package and/or preserve goods for Dispatch
Packing cardboard and wooden boxes for dispatch
Photograph/ weigh and any other customer requirements
Ensure cleanliness and organization of all materials within warehouse
Entry of weights and dimensions into Sap using appropriate transactions required
Co-Ordinating of all Spares and loose gear for pumps that are required to be shipped
Responsible for security of stores area
Transferring parts to appropriate Location within Stores areas and put away in the correct manner and ensure all Sap transactions are up to date
Ensure all kits are picked and issued to shop in appropriate manner and shortage reports issued with kits
Any other duties required
Responsible for security of stores area
General House Keeping in all Areas
DESIRED SKILLS
GRN and Return to Vendor process to be completed accurately.
Accurate dispatch of all products to correct bays throughout the factory.
Must be able to manually lift parts when required. This is an everyday part of the job and would constitute 50% of the role at least. Some of the parts can be heavy. No part over 25kg can be lifted manually.
Forklift Truck licenses – Reach and Counterbalance Licenses
SAP knowledge
Overhead Crane / Slinging Certificate.
Good Team Player
Use of Hand Tools
Strong communication between other members of the team
