A vibrant and inclusive primary school in the heart of Camden is seeking a compassionate and confident ABA Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 2 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Although in Year 2, the pupil is currently working at Nursery-level developmentally and benefits from a structured Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) programme.
This role would suit someone with experience in behaviour management, early years development, or a background in psychology or SEN support. The pupil has complex communication needs and requires calm, consistent one-on-one assistance from an engaging adult who understands how to deliver individualised learning strategies.
The Role:
- Working 1:1 with a child with ASD and high behavioural needs
- Supporting early learning through tailored, teaching strategies
- Implementing the child's ABA plan under the guidance of external therapists and SEN staff
- Encouraging social and emotional development using positive reinforcement
- Delivering small group instruction where appropriate and tracking progress monitoring
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience with ASD, ABA, or behavioural support
- Clear communicator with excellent spoken English
- Confident, patient, and creative in adapting to the needs of the child
- Experience working at Nursery or Early Years level desirable
- Psychology or education graduates encouraged to apply
