About the Role:We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic ICT Teacher to join our innovative computing department. You will teach across Key Stages 3 to 5, delivering engaging lessons that develop students' digital literacy, computational thinking, and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in ICT and Computing.
- Teach a range of topics, including digital systems, programming, data handling, and cybersecurity.
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Encourage safe and responsible use of technology.
- Contribute to extracurricular clubs, competitions, and digital learning initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
- A qualified teacher with a QTS (or equivalent).
- Strong subject knowledge in ICT and Computing.
- Experience teaching KS3-KS5 (including A-Level).
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, HTML/CSS, JavaScript).
- A commitment to inclusive, engaging, and forward-thinking teaching.
Desirable Characteristics of an Experienced Teacher:
- A track record of excellent student outcomes in ICT or Computing.
- Experience integrating technology into cross-curricular projects.
- Confidence in using and teaching a range of software and platforms.
- Awareness of current trends in digital education and e-safety.
- Experience mentoring colleagues or leading digital strategy initiatives.
- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for innovation.
