We are currently looking for a proactive, hardworking and positive individual to join our office team. Leaders have high expectations of everything we do in school and the staff at Ludworth are strong and committed to the school’s values. We are a welcoming, inclusive school and it is important to us that we find the right person for our school.

The school office works very closely together with the School Business Manger to provide a happy, stimulating environment in which children can learn to their full potential. The role of clerical assistant is a key one in the school. On a day-to-day basis your job is to ensure the smooth running of the school office. This will include a whole range of administrative tasks as well as being the first point of contact for all parents/visitors to our school. This aspect is extremely important as first impressions really do count! No two days are exactly the same and therefore the role can vary hugely on a day to day basis.

You will need to be committed to working with children, have a positive approach and work well as part of a team. You will need to be flexible, resilient and be able to form strong relationships with adults and children.
The successful candidate must have a clear understanding of the importance of their role. You will be an integral part of a highly effective team who have high expectations of themselves and others.

The successful candidate will:

Have a strong commitment to helping raise the achievement for all pupils by providing a welcoming environment for the pupils to learn;
Possess experience in a clerical role and working in a busy office environment;
Have the ability to work constructively as a team and maintain effective working relationships, an excellent team member;
Be proactive, have the ability to use their initiative, be well organised and have the necessary skills to prioritise their own workload;
Have knowledge of school practices, policies and procedures;
Have experience in preparing, maintaining and monitoring records, including financial records and dealing with cash;
Promote and maintain a culture of high expectations for self and others;
Be flexible and willing to work outside usual hours when required.

In return, we can offer you:

Opportunities for professional development
A happy and caring school to work in which has the well-being of everyone at its centre
A supportive, warm and friendly environment, where everyone is valued
Positive, happy, enthusiastic children who have a love of learning and embrace facing new challenges
An established team environment, who ensure the wellbeing of children and staff is always considered
A supportive Leadership Team and Governing Body
A challenging and rewarding position, with a structured and comprehensive induction programme and a commitment to continued professional development and support.

Informal visits to the school or telephone conversations are strongly encouraged and can be arranged through our school business manager, Mrs Amy Nuttall on 0161 427 1446 or via email: amy.nuttall@ludworth.stockport.sch.uk.
Total working hours will be 37 hours per week working term time only (with the possibility of overtime in the holidays, if required). Working hours may vary depending on the needs of the school, however, typical hours will be as follows:-

Monday to Thursday: 8.15am until 4:15pm (with 30 minutes for lunch)
Friday: 8.15am until 3.45pm (with 30 minutes for lunch)
