Summary
TEACHING ASSISTANT VACANCIES
We have two vacancies here at Moira Primary School for Teaching Assistants (Level 3). Candidates qualified to Level 2 will also be considered.POST 1: 8.45 – 3.15 Monday to Friday (30 hours) Term Time plus 1 week (INSET Days)POST 2: 8.45 – 12 Monday to Friday (16.25 hours) Term Time plus 1 week (INSET Days)Contract Term: Initially both posts will be on a fixed-term contract until 19th August 2026. The position is to be paid in line with Leicestershire County Council Grade 6 (or Grade 5 depending on qualifications). The Governing Board of Moira Primary School are seeking to recruit two Teaching Assistants (or Learning Support Assistants) to work in our school. The role will involve supporting individual children and small group work in the school, working under the direction of class teachers both in and outside of the classroom and during lunchtime. This offers an exciting opportunity for the successful candidates to work as part of a strong team who continually strive to enable the whole school community to grow.The successful candidate will:
• Be committed, caring and hard-working and work effectively as part of a team
• Have a love for working with children and want to enable them to flourish
• Be motivated, well organised, patient, adaptable and able to use their own initiative
• Have experience of supporting teaching and learning including those with SEN
• Be prepared to work with both small groups and 1:1 SEN pupils as required
• Be qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning or equivalent
