The University of Glasgow’s Small Animal Hospital is seeking Veterinary Care Assistants to join our dedicated Out of Hours team. Working alongside our experienced Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, student vets nurses and fellow Care Assistants, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

What You’ll Do:
• Support critical and emergency patients across ICU, Wards, Theatre, and Treatment areas
• Carry out animal husbandry tasks, monitor patient wellbeing, assist with treatments and diagnostics
• Ensure clinical areas are clean, stocked, and ready for use at all times
• Be part of a tight-knit team delivering compassionate care during our busiest hours

What You’ll Need:
• Prior experience in animal care or the veterinary sector
• Confident handling skills with both dogs and cats
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a team-focused environment
• Flexibility and a calm, compassionate approach to patient care
