Crynodeb
To assess for and diagnose any functional, physical, cognitive, perceptual and sensory deficits. Based on the analysis of the assessment and a risk analysis, to determine occupational therapy aims and treatment goals, in collaboration with the client/family /carers. To work closely with clients, their carers and families in agreeing decisions relevant to the clients management whilst respecting their individuality and diversity. To implement client centred interventions, using the principles of graded activity and a range of treatment techniques. To prescribe and coordinate intervention to be carried out by others, such as rehabilitation support workers or Trusted Assessors, and to train them to carry out the therapeutic programmes as appropriate to the home or community environment.
