Crynodeb

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team on days. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems, demonstrating the ability to maintain and repair equipment efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the capability to work independently or as part of a team. The Maintenance Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and systems, contributing to overall productivity and safety within the organisation.

Responsibilities
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance of all equipment.
• Installation and continuous improvement of all plant, machinery, utilities, building and facilities.
• Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions.
• Assist with machinery controls, programming and PLC related requirements.
• Undertake engineering and site projects
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests and ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs performed.

Experience
• Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Appropriate qualifications and time served experience.
• Familiarity with schematics and logic controllers is highly desirable.
• Flexible approach, a team player with a willingness to continually learn.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, enabling clear interaction with team members and stakeholders.
• A customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
• Ability to work 7-45am - 4.45pm Mon - Thurs and 7.45am-12.30pm on a Friday. We also operate a rota system where approx. one week in eight you will be required to work 9am - 6pm Mon - Thurs and 7.45 - 4.30pm on a Friday. This latter shift attracts an additional payment when worked. Overtime opportunities are available but not guaranteed.
