Role Details

  • Title: Community Paediatric Care Assistant


    • Location: Plymouth


      • Pay: From £13.97- £19.99per hour


        Responsibilities

        As a Community Paediatric Care Assistant, you'll provide essential support to children and young people, including:

        • Personal Care and Support: Assist with daily tasks to ensure comfort and well-being


          • Challenging Behaviour Support: Manage and respond to challenging behaviours with sensitivity


            • Community Access: Support children in accessing and participating in community activities


              • Promoting Independence: Encourage and empower children to achieve greater autonomy


                • Medication Support: Ensure safe administration of medication


                  • Specialist Clinical Care: Provide advanced clinical care, including ventilation, tracheostomy care, enteral feeding, nebuliser treatment, and seizure management


                    Requirements

                    We seek individuals who have:

                    • At least 6 months of professional care experience or experience caring for a loved one in the UK


                      • The right to work in the UK


                        • Registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)


                          • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


                            • Experience working with children and young people (preferred, but not essential as full training is provided)


                              • A valid driver’s licence and reliable access to a personal vehicle
