Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking applications for an experienced Wardrobe Assistant (Fixed-Term) to work on the London production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, this new play by Jack Thorne received its world premiere in London’s West End at the Palace Theatre in summer 2016. The critically acclaimed production is the most awarded West End play in the history of the Olivier Awards, winning a record-breaking nine awards including Best New Play and Best Director in 2017.
The Wardrobe Assistant will work Tuesday to Sunday.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Experience in a similar position on a large-scale production
Excellent hand and machine sewing skills
Ability to learn and perform dressing cues; from simple to extensive plots
Excellent laundry skills – including ironing
Experience of working as a team; great communication and friendly manner
Ability and desire to learn new methods and improvement to working practices
Ability to work under direction or independently, following tried and tested methods
Good computer skills with knowledge of Word and Excel

Contract Type: Fixed term until Sunday 5th October 2025
Salary: Weekly rate as per SOLT/BECTU Agreement.
Weekly Hours: 6 day working weeks (Tuesday to Sunday); 8 shows per week plus maintenance and rehearsal calls.
