Job Summary Develop professional networks locally, regionally and nationally Represent the profession at an organisational level Support the operational manager with the development and implementation of MSK/PH service strategies Promote and support quality improvement initiatives and change Support the team leaders with their delegated clinical and professional responsibilities Contribute to monthly therapy services quality and safety meetings to represent the MSK/PH/Physiotherapy service on activities such as NICE guidance, risk assessments audits and research. Ensure MSK/PH/Physiotherapy staff are involved in audit and research relevant to clinical practice Support the development of the MSK/PH/Physiotherapy Service workforce eg Identifying emerging roles and succession planning Ensure professional supervision is embedded in the service Support the operational management of the MSK/PH Service. Ensure the service is involved in clinical governance activities. Provide a key role in partnership working with statutory, private and voluntary sector Support the organisation with the development and implementation of Physiotherapy Strategies Support operational managers to deal with professional issues and monitoring professional standards Develop and maintain links with higher education institutions Participate in the senior manager's tactical on call rota for the organisation In pursuing these duties the post holder will ensure compliance with the NHS Constitution and be familiar with the NHS England Guidance Understanding the new NHS
