Behaviour Mentors & Learning Support Assistants Required in Wandworth
Remedy are currently recruiting for Behaviour Mentors & Learning Support Assistants to support Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students (ages of 11 - 16), within an SEN Provision who specialise in supporting students who are disengaged from mainstream education, or those with additional needs: Social, Emotional, Mental Health/and Behavioural Needs.
Daily Rate: £105 - £120 per day
Locations: Wandsworth, South West London
Duration: Long-Term
Start Date: Immediate interview / start September 2025
Contract: Monday - Friday (Full-Time)
The successful applicants will have:
- Ideally experience working with Learning Difficulties, SEMH and/or EBD.
- Previous experience managing Challenging/Confrontational Behavior.
- Previous experience working with children and/or young people.
- Valid and Enhanced Child or Child and Adult DBS check registered on the update service.
The role will consist of:
- Work with individuals and groups of students, assist in ensuring students are kept on task and complete activities set by the teacher.
- Deal with behavioural and special needs issues in conjunction with the teacher.
- Offering support to the class teacher including helping to implement lesson plans, aims and content.
- Take small group of students for defined activities.
- Provide support for individuals and groups of pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
- Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans.
- Building good student - teacher rapport.
