Senior Mental Health Practitioner
Up to £45,000 per annum
Full time - 40 hours per week
Yeovil, Somerset

Meridian Business Support is currently recruiting for a Senior Mental Health Practitioner to work on a full time basis for a private education and residential Care provider based in Yeovil.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for one of the UK’s leading education and residential care providers in their Yeovil based Residential College. This is a new role within the college to support the student’s mental and emotional health.

You would be joining a highly skilled education, care and clinical team, delivering outstanding personal, social and vocational care and support, that is tailored to meet the individual needs and wants of the students.

They are looking for a creative, dynamic and enthusiastic individual to work collaboratively within the wellbeing clinical team which consists of a Consultant Psychiatrist, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Holistic therapist, School Nurse and Integrated Therapy assistants.

Essential skills and attributes

- Minimal 2 years’ experience
- RMN / RNLD/ HCPC
- Experience in CAMHS (community or in-patient services) or Education settings
- Be person centred and have a commitment to delivering high quality evidence-based care
- Good decision-making skills
- Excellent organisational capacity
- Effective communication skills
- Be autonomous in practice

Additional desired experience:

- Providing consultation to groups
- Leading/teaching workshops to peers
- Managerial experience
- Working with people who have Autism Spectrum Disorder/Challenging behaviours
- Working with people who have learning difficulties.
