Single Point of Contact (SPOC) Worker
Location: Likewise Sheffield
Contract: Permanent

As a SPOC Worker you will be responsible for:
The successful candidate will work within the SPOC Team working alongside multidisciplinary workers to deliver a high quality service to our patients, ensuring first point of contact with our service is welcoming and builds a positive rapport in order to ensure patients feel comfortable coming into services.

Prompt Response: As a SPOC Worker, your primary responsibility is ensuring timely and comprehensive responses to all inquiries, including prescribing queries.
Appointment Management: You'll efficiently manage appointments through electronic diary systems, ensuring organized scheduling.
Connecting Callers: Beyond answering calls, you'll connect callers to the appropriate staff or resources, facilitating efficient support delivery.
Crisis Handling: Handling calls from individuals in crisis or at risk, you'll assess situations empathetically and guide them to necessary services.
Triage Assessment: Utilising standardised triage assessment forms, you'll categorise inquiries, directing them to the relevant service promptly. Your role plays a vital part in providing exceptional customer service and effective support for our clients. About you

To succeed in the SPOC Advisor role we would like you to have the following skills and attributes:
Strong Administrative skills.
Ability to work with disadvantaged/vulnerable people.
Ability to deal with a range of queries from service users, professionals, family members and carers.
Knowledge and understanding of the issues facing people who misuse substances
Understanding of and ability to implement risk assessments.
Ability to keep effective records including documenting relevant information onto a management information system.
Understanding of safeguarding issues for children and vulnerable adults
Employ a mature, sympathetic, non-judgemental attitude towards Service Users and their family.
Ability to respond to a range of calls, including high risk and those in crisis.
