Acorn by Synergie are looking to recruit a part-time Kitchen Assistants for the Magor area. Working 3 days a week (one being a Saturday or a Sunday each week). To have previous catering/kitchen experience and completed Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate.
Responsibilities -
- Cleaning utensils, food preparation equipment, other tools, and kitchen floors
- Prepping ingredients for dishes
- Washing, peeling and preparing food ingredients
- Cooking ingredients according to directions received from chef
- Assisting in cooking of meals
- Reviewing kitchen inventory and determining what items are needed
- Unloading fresh supplies and organising the stockroom
- Checking sell-by dates and rotating food stock
- Observing cooking times and correct temperatures
- Ensuring that food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
- Minimum level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate required.
- Able to understand and communicate in English at a working level (spoken and written)
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Able to remain calm and effective in a high-pressure environment
- Flexible and willing to support other roles or duties as needed
