Salary: Up to £23,810 per annum
Work Days & Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Saturday, 9am-5.30pm (with Sunday and another day in the week off)
Working Location: Ambleside

Reporting to: Housekeeping Manager

About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated, hard-working and detail-oriented individual to join our Laundry team. From day one, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laundry and housekeeping services. Your responsibilities will include packing and delivering hire linen to properties or ‘hubs’, coordinating with self-employed cleaners, conducting property checks, and resolving laundry and housekeeping issues. Your ability to multitask and collaborate effectively will help maintain our high standards of service. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit team in a supportive and rewarding environment.
Your Responsibilities
As Laundry Operative, you will be responsible for the following areas of accountability:
Progressing the day-to-day operation of the Property Services Laundry function, building an essential rapport with our suppliers, assisting with any issues at a property, checking properties and spot-checking suppliers.
The count of freshly laundered linen delivery onto the shelf, recording shortfalls and rejects.
With use of fleet vehicle; delivering clean linen to properties and allocated hubs, returning dirty linen to Colyton.
Linen preparation for the weekly departures of all agency managed properties into individual property packs.
Managing stock levels, advising when auxiliary items need ordering and replenishing with plenty of time.
Managing the soiled linen as it's returned, ensuring the area is tidy, before it's collected by the Laundry.
With use of a fleet vehicle; going out and checking agency managed properties that have been vacant for 5 days or more, making beds, pre-arrival checks or when special attention is required.
Providing practical information and feedback to the Property Services Manager to promote performance of the department.
Any other duties that are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by your line manager.
Skills and Qualifications

Flexible attitude towards tasks and working hours
Good numerical skills and ability to use own initiative
Full, clean driving licence

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience as a Laundry Assistant
IT literate and able to update stock controls
