Crynodeb
Please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification. As a band 4 Biological Specimen Assistant you will work under the supervision of the Biological Specimen Coordinator, senior research staff and collaboratively with the multidisciplinary teams. You will assist with a caseload of studies and projects for trial patients ensuring the correct consents and samples have been taken and processed as required according to the project protocol. The role involves knowledge of trial protocols and their application in practice alongside compliance with local, national and international research regulations. You will support the research team with collection, processing, tracking and storage of biological samples for clinical trials. You will also aid with ensuring infection controls measured are undertaken and aid with maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
