This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) school and make a tangible impact on the lives of young people with additional needs.

Position Overview: Graduate School Support Assistant

A forward-thinking SEN school in Ilford is seeking a Graduate Support Assistant to join their team for the 2025–2026 academic year. You’ll be part of a caring and skilled staff group supporting students aged 11 to 19 with a range of complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and emotional or behavioural challenges.

As a support worker, you will:

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to help pupils engage in learning.
• Assist students in developing social, emotional, and communication skills.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to deliver personalised education plans.
• Contribute to a structured, supportive environment designed to help students thrive.
• Offer personal care when necessary (full guidance and training will be given).

• Ideally a 1st or 2:1 from a top 30 university with matching A level and GCSE’s
• Are genuinely passionate about improving outcomes for young people with SEN.
• Bring resilience, empathy, and emotional intelligence to their work.
• Have strong academic backgrounds (ideally from a top-tier university).
• Are considering careers in SEN teaching, educational psychology, therapy, or youth support.
• Can work collaboratively in a professional, team-focused setting.
