About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to join our vastly improved secondary school and Sixth Form in Walthamstow, East London. This role is ideal for recent graduates in Speech and Language Therapy or Linguistics, offering an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with speech and language difficulties in both individual and group settings.
• Assist in the implementation of speech and language therapy plans under the guidance of qualified therapists.
• Develop and adapt learning materials to facilitate communication skills.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate speech and language support into the curriculum.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the therapy team.

About You

We are looking for candidates who:

• Hold a degree in Speech and Language Therapy, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Demonstrate a strong passion for supporting students with communication challenges.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Are adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Have a commitment to promoting inclusive education.

No prior experience in a school setting is required; full training and support will be provided.
