Summary

We are looking for an innovative and enthusiastic nursing/ Midwife leader who is passionate about Clinical Research and delivering the best patient/ participant care, and who can provide leadership and strategic direction for their teams. To undertake this challenging role you will need to have experience in leading and managing nursing & midwifery teams. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders.
You should be a band 7 registered nurse or midwife with experience in Clinical Research, managerial experience and can demonstrate the desire and ability to provide strong and visible leadership and facilitate team learning.
You will have highly effective interpersonal, negotiation and decision-making skills, a sound knowledge and understanding of the challenges and opportunities.

The post holder will be responsible for providing clinical and professional leadership to the Clinical Research Facilities (CRF), clinical teams across all CRF sites in MFT. Working with the CRF Nursing and Midwifery Lead, the post holder will support the work of the CRF in delivering research to the highest standards.
• Provide effective clinical and professional leadership acting as a role model for all staff within the CRF. Work closely with other groups within the CRF and MFT
• Actively work to support and empower the Nurse managers, and clinical research nurses to develop and utilise clinical leadership skills, ensuring they are supported in appropriate levels of authority to undertake their role effectively in an accountable manner
• Proactively review and analyse day-to-day service delivery to develop a framework for ongoing quality improvement for nursing, contributing to overall research quality, clinical effectiveness, and risk management activities
