We are seeking a skilled and experienced Catering Manager to join the team at St Michael Abbey School, helping to co-ordinate day-to-day activities within the kitchen and ensuring quality services are provided to students and staff.Job overview You will be responsible for managing the catering team to deliver a high-quality, cost effective and innovative food provision for pupils, staff, and visitors.We are looking for someone to maintain, develop, and strive to improve standards in food delivery, health and safety compliance and cost effectiveness for all food delivery requirements and events as required. The role will assist with school menu planning, food preparation and cooking, and working within a wider team to ensure catering services are carried out efficiently on a daily basis, including stock control and ensuring duties are carried out within a set budget.Job requirements
Minimum Level 2 award in Food Safety
Previous experience within catering for large numbers in a supervisory roleExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAwareness of Health and Safety, COSHH, dietary and allergen requirements
