About the School:
This welcoming and inclusive SEN school caters to both primary and secondary pupils with a diverse range of needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Specific Learning Disabilities, and more complex physical and sensory challenges. The school is committed to providing tailored, high-quality support that enables every child to flourish.

The Role: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire
Start Date: September
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 15:30 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £85 - £90 per day (inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay)
Contract: Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities:
- Build warm, positive relationships to create a safe and engaging learning environment
- Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups across a range of subjects and needs
- Assist in delivering personalised, differentiated lessons
- Promote independence and positive behaviour through encouragement and structure
- Help with classroom activities, transitions, and maintaining routines
- Adapt to the evolving needs of pupils and the wider school community
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to meet educational goals

What We're Looking For:
- A degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
- A patient, caring, and adaptable mindset
- Understanding of safeguarding and a strong commitment to inclusion
- Full-time right to work in the UK (we are unable to offer sponsorship)
- Ability to reliably commute to Welwyn Garden City
