Outreach Worker - Behaviour & Inclusion Support

Location: Birmingham
Salary: £85 - £100 per day (dependent on experience)

Are you passionate about inclusion and helping young people thrive beyond the classroom?

We are working closely with a specialist alternative provision in Birmingham to recruit an Outreach Worker to support pupils who are currently unable to attend mainstream education. These are young people with complex needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, trauma, or behavioural barriers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored 1:1 support to students
- Build meaningful relationships to support emotional regulation and engagement
- Act as a trusted adult, motivator, and mentor
- Work closely with families, key workers, and the wider pastoral team
- Record student progress and communicate effectively with school staff
- Ensure safeguarding and risk protocols are followed at all times

What We're Looking For:
- Background in youth work, pastoral support, mentoring or SEMH environments
- Experience working with disengaged or vulnerable young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, patient, and resilient attitude

Why Join This Role?
- Work flexibly outside of traditional classrooms
- Play a vital role in re-engaging learners with education
- Be part of a supportive and passionate inclusion team
- Potential long-term or permanent opportunities for the right person

We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
