Working hours are 10.30-1.30pm Saturday and Sunday, 6 hrs in total.

Job Specification
1. To ensure that Meals on Wheels clients receive a varied selection of meals, taking into account dietary requirements and personal preferences.
2. To ensure clients' meals are ready for delivery within a set time frame.
3. To prepare meals in accordance with general procedure.
4. To be aware through the process of training, matters relating to preparation of meals and general food handling.
5. Manage a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness of both equipment and environment in the kitchen and associated preparation and storage areas.
6. To abide by the guidelines and regulations issued, as they relate to food handling, hygiene and health and safety at work.
7. To perform other duties reasonably falling within the purview of the post as may be required by the cook from time to time.
8. To be able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with the Manager, other staff members, volunteers and at times with clients and their families.
9. To be able to independently manage own workload.
