At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for Team Lead Mechanic to work with an important micromobility company in London - leading smart-mobility provider that offers cities an array of mobility products including e-assist bicycles and electric scooters. We have multiple positions available in North and South East London workshops. Training will be provided for successful candidates.
Shift Patterns:
- North London - Wednesday - Sunday / Thursday - Monday / Sunday - Thursday 9am-5pm
- South East London - Thursday - Monday / Wednesday - Sunday
Pay Rates
- Base Pay: £14.00 per hour
- Attendance Bonus: £2.00 per hour (applicable when all scheduled shifts are attended on time)
- Total Pay: £16.00 per hour
As a Mechanic Team Lead you will need to have:
- Proven experience in managing, supervising and leading a team in fast paced environment
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and adept at problem-solving and decision-making,
- High level of responsibility, initiative, and the ability to work effectively under pressure,
- Ability to operate a mobile device including having knowledge of in app-based workflows. iOS experience preferred
- Willingness to learn, a great attitude and ability to work well with others - teamwork is key to success!
- Interest in learning new skills or stepping into technical field
- Previous mechanic experience not required, but any technical background, and tool knowledge is advantageous
Role of a Mechanic Team Lead:
- Lead a team of Mechanics while assigning daily tasks as needed and ensuring workflow is efficient and thorough.
- Perform a variety repairs from basic maintenance to complex electronic part replacement.
- Maximize the number of operational vehicles by efficiently completing tasks assigned
- Identify issues and find creative solutions to overcome obstacles
- Maintain and abide by safety and hygiene standards within the warehouse
- Evaluate performance of your team and give performance feedback
- Receive additional training to become a great mechanic!
- Oversee and train new mechanics while maintaining a team oriented environment and integrating new mechanics to the team
- Additional job related tasks as assigned
