EYFS Teaching Assistant
Required from 1st September 2025
Contract Term: 1-year temporary contract (with a view to be made permanent)
Full Time – 37 hours a week, term time only, 39 weeks of the year
Pay Scale: Level 1 TA NJC 3–6 (FTE £24,027-£25,183), dependent on experienceOld Basford School is seeking to appoint an inspiring level 1 teaching assistant to work within our EYFS team, initially within Nursery. We are excited to welcome a new member of staff to our committed whole school team, who all work hard for the pupils at OBS!
Old Basford School is a two-form entry primary school with a 40 place Nursery in Nottingham City with a fantastic reputation. We are an ambitious and aspirational school and pride ourselves on the additional opportunities we offer all our pupils. We aim for all children to leave our school educated, equipped, enriched and empowered with the skills and knowledge to find success in the next stage of their learning. The ideal candidate will: · • have experience of working within EYFS
• hold the relevant qualifications for working within EYFS ratio- must be stated within Dfe guidance
• be consistently good within their classroom practice
• be able to improve and impact pupil progress and achievement through quality adult interactions and tailored interventions
• be passionate about play within the Early Years
• be flexible and able to use your own initiative
• follow our reflective and restorative behaviour system with all pupils
