Appointment of a Grade 5 Teaching Assistant - Mainstream ALN Interventions
Temporary 1-year contract
Salary Scale: Grade 5
(32.5 hours per week for 39 weeks)
Grade 5, SCP 11 – 19 (£20,759 - £24,188 actual salary)
We are excited to offer an opportunity to join the Mainstream ALN Interventions Team at Whitchurch High School. This is a temporary position for 1 year, starting in September 2025. The successful candidate will work across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, supporting small groups of pupils under the direction of the ALNCo (Additional Learning Needs Coordinator). This is a Grade 5 position. Please refer to the attached Job Description for full details.
Key Responsibilities:
• Planning and delivering alternative curriculum sessions for pupils who require a setting outside the traditional classroom.
• Setting up and overseeing the school’s home tuition service.
• Supporting pupils through targeted interventions in small group settings.
