IT Infrastructure Engineer
Salary: Up to £31,773 (dependent upon qualifications and experience - and for the right candidate a £5,000 market supplement)
Working pattern: Full-time (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)
Location: Cross-campus (Sparsholt and Andover Campuses)
Closing date: 30th June 2025
You will be working in the IT team with the IT Services manager and other Engineers, specifically to provide hands on direct support the Staff and Student End users of the systems provided by IT. You will come from an IT background with experience of providing excellent customer service. You will need the experience and confidence to work with end users at all skill levels. Working to objectives and timescales set by the Head of IT Services and senior team colleagues, you will be working to professional levels of good practice in line with College policies & procedures and in accordance with legal requirements. The Post holder should have a good level of end use IT experience and a good level of experience with Microsoft 365 administration. The role will involve interaction with teaching, business and student IT users, therefore it is important that the post holder has excellent interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities: The support and development of internal computer and other technical systems including, but not limited to: - Wired and wireless network management utilising routers and firewalls - Test and evaluate new technology - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Management of Windows servers - Backup management - Manage virtual environment
