AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO LEAD IN A HIGH-PROFILE ENVIRONMENT

Are you a talented and driven kitchen professional ready to take the next step in your leadership career? We are offering a
fantastic opportunity for an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead the food operation at Exeter Airport, one of the South West’s key
travel hubs.

This role is perfect for someone with a passion for quality, a commitment to excellence, and a track record of success in
high-volume kitchens. You’ll be instrumental in shaping the food experience for thousands of travellers—setting standards, leading
a skilled team, and driving innovation across our menus. Kindly note that access to personal transport is required due to the 2:00
AM start times, as public transportation is unavailable at that hour.






KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Lead the day-to-day operation of our airport kitchen and food outlets

* Collaborate with senior managers on menu development and food strategy

* Maintain consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety

* Manage food stock, supplier orders, deliveries, and gross profit margins

* Implement effective systems to minimise waste and maximise efficiency

* Uphold all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations (HACCP)

* Ensure daily kitchen cleanliness and equipment maintenance

* Recruit, train, develop, and inspire a high-performing kitchen team






ABOUT YOU

We're looking for a passionate professional with the following:

Essential:

* A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior chef or kitchen management role

* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Professional Cookery or Hospitality

* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team

* Proven experience managing stock, controlling costs, and achieving GP targets

* High standards in kitchen hygiene, compliance, and food safety

* Flexibility to work across a varied shift pattern including weekends

Desirable:

* Level 3 Food Safety certificate

* First Aid at Work

* Experience working in an airport or transport-based food environment
