A progressive secondary school in Wolverhampton is looking for a motivated and compassionate Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their support team this September. This full-time, term-time role is perfect for STEM graduates aiming to build real-world experience in education and student support.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Contract: Academic year with potential for a permanent role
Role Responsibilities:

Provide tailored academic and emotional support to students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties

Deliver small group and one-to-one interventions focused on engagement and progress in STEM subjects

Support learning plans and behaviour strategies alongside teaching and pastoral teams

Work collaboratively with SENCOs, educational psychologists, and external professionals

Gain valuable experience relevant for further training or postgraduate studies in education or mental health fields
Candidate Profile:
-
A recent STEM graduate (2:1 or above preferred) in a subject such as Maths, Science, Engineering, or Technology

Passionate about inclusive education and supporting young people

Patient, proactive, and strong in communication and problem-solving

Any prior experience in mentoring, tutoring, or working with young people with additional needs is a plus
