Are you passionate about exploring life's big questions? Do you enjoy guiding young people to think critically, reflectively, and with empathy? A School in Essex is seeking a dedicated RE Teacher to join their Humanities team from September 2025.
This full-time, permanent position offers you the chance to teach Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, in a school that values respectful dialogue, diversity, and meaningful discussion. Key Responsibilities
• Deliver thought-provoking RE lessons at KS3 and KS4
• Support students in developing critical thinking and cultural awareness
• Create a respectful and inclusive classroom environment
• Monitor and assess student progress and adapt teaching accordingly
• Contribute to curriculum development and cross-curricular projects
• Participate in wider school life and enrichment opportunities
Qualifications and Experience
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching RE in a secondary school setting
• Strong subject knowledge and a balanced, inclusive approach to worldviews
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• ECTs welcome - full induction and mentoring support provided
• A commitment to fostering open-mindedness and respectful discussion
