15 hours a week rising to 30 hours quickly for the right candidate (depending on experience).
In a Family operated, local practice located near the centre of Shrewsbury.
The role will be primarily Bookkeeping. Importing sales and purchase invoices, reconciling bank accounts and drafting management reports as and when necessary. You will also assist in the preparation of VAT returns and year end accounts for a variety of local businesses.
You will also have a hand in the day to day administration in the office. Onboarding new clients and general office support, answering the telephone and taking messages as and when necessary.
We are seeking a diligent and organized individual who is motivated and able to work on their own and as part of a team.
Prior knowledge and practical experience in of Excel, Xero, Quickbooks, Sage One, VT and Taxcalc would be an advantage.
AAT Level3/4 is desirable.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills is essential to this role and also an ability to plan and organize oneself. Be methodical, paying attention to detail and possess problem solving skills. An ability to prioritize workload and use initiative at all times.
