About the Role: Graduate Science Teaching Assistant

As a Graduate Science Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teaching staff to support pupils in Science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics), helping to spark curiosity and build understanding across KS2–KS4. You’ll assist in preparing engaging experiments, working with small groups and individual learners to build confidence and boost attainment.

This role is perfect for a graduate looking to pursue a career in teaching, educational psychology, or STEM education.

Your Key Responsibilities: Graduate Science Teaching Assistant

• Support the delivery of engaging science lessons across the curriculum
• Assist pupils in understanding key scientific concepts through 1:1 and small group work
• Help plan and set up experiments and demonstrations
• Foster a love of learning by making science accessible and exciting
• Support students with additional needs to ensure inclusive learning
• Collaborate with teaching staff to create a supportive, high-achieving classroom

What We’re Looking For: Graduate Science Teaching Assistant

• A Science graduate (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related field) with a 2:1 or above
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for science education
• Clear communication and the ability to explain concepts in a relatable way
• An encouraging and patient personality
• Previous experience working with children or young people is a bonus – but not essential
