About Us:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Wireman/Fitter to join our team, working on NGED substations mainly within the NGED region. As a NGED authorised Wireman/Fitter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
-Carry out wiring, fitting, and earthing works on NGED substations
-Hold and manage Permit to Work (PTW) and Limitation of Access (LOA) systems
-Work safely and efficiently, adhering to NGED policies and procedures
-Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
-Maintain accurate records and documentation
Requirements:
-NGED authorisation as a Wireman/Fitter
-Valid PTW and LOA certification
-Proven experience working on electrical substations
-Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, fitting, and earthing practices
-Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
-Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities
Desirable Qualifications:
-City & Guilds 2360 or equivalent electrical qualification
-SSSTS (Site Safety Training Scheme) certification
-IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) certification
-Telehandler operator training certification
-First Aid at Work certification
