More detail about the role This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and forward-thinking team in sunny Devon. Our aim is to become a centre of excellence, and we are actively working towards greater collaboration across the SEND (South, East and North Devon) Medical Physics network. Regular engagement with colleagues at Torbay Hospital is expected. Our Oncology Centre is equipped with three matched, Varian TrueBEAM Linear Accelerators, a Canon wide-bore CT scanner, and Eclipse TPS for external beam treatment planning. Treatment workflows are fully paperless, supported by the ARIA R&V system. The department runs a well-established SABR programme and has a strong portfolio of clinical trials, both in volume and diversity. We also provide a vibrant brachytherapy service with an HDR afterloader, treating a range of indications. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who can work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment. Some out-of-hours, weekend, and bank holiday working is required and shared on a rota basis. Flexible working patterns and opportunities to work from home are available. If you join before the implementation date, the pay award will be backdated to your start date.
