Crynodeb
The post holder will be a senior member of the North Community Learning Disability Team (North CLDT) working with service users in the Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and North Cotswold area. The purpose of the role is as follows: Provide specialist Occupational Therapy to service users with severe / complex needs and learning disabilities. Provide evidenced-based Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to optimise the service users ability to engage in and maintain meaningful occupations in line with the principles of social inclusion and/or recovery. Undertake care co-ordination responsibilities for an allocated number of service users. Contribute to training/support for primary and secondary health care professionals, social care providers and families to enable them to better meet the occupational needs of service users. Supervise staff at Band 5 and below Act as lead mentor for students on Occupational Therapy student programmes
