Crynodeb
Provide a high standard of physiotherapy care to a highly complex patient group referred to TIMS. Take a major role in the advanced assessment and treatment of patients within the speciality with musculo-skeletal conditions referred to TIMS who may have complex physical, psychological and chronic presentations. Triage referrals and make onward referrals to other healthcare professionals some of which may be urgent, and to determine clinical diagnosis, develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme, and maintain records as an autonomous practitioner. Carry a clinical caseload of complex patients within the speciality using skills to aid diagnosis and development of treatment plans e.g. ordering x-rays, administering injection therapy. Liaise with MDT colleagues, specifically GPs and consultants with regard to the delivery and evaluation of the TIMS service. Provide day to day clinical leadership to Band 6 and 5 Physiotherapists within the clinical pathway through supervision, assessment, education and support.
