Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is looking for an Operations Manager to join their team.
As part of a prestigious Global Key Account, the UK Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality facilities services across the customer’s retail estate.
You'll be joining a well-established, collaborative, and experienced team with a fantastic culture where everyone supports one another.
Exceptional stakeholder management is crucial, as you’ll work closely with the customer’s senior leadership to meet their evolving needs while navigating a dynamic and sometimes challenging environment.
Job Description
Responsible for both live and vacant properties, this role ensures operational excellence and contractual compliance through the effective leadership of Regional Facilities Managers, a Soft Services Lead, and a Hard Services Lead.
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this role serves as the primary escalation point for operational issues across the branch network. You will be responsible for driving team performance, ensuring service delivery meets the highest standards, and minimising risk the client.
This is a high-visibility role for a confident leader who thrives on accountability, relationship-building, and operational impact.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver contracted services across the customer’s retail portfolio, managing operational and compliance risk effectively
Build and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders to support smooth escalation management
Ensure the team prioritises effectively while maintaining service and communication standards, even during peak periods
Drive performance to meet or exceed KPI targets, including Quarterly Assurance Reviews and Find & Fix visits
Provide clear, data-driven reports to both customer and internal stakeholders, highlighting trends and insights to support informed decisions
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Proven experience in a similar senior operational FM role
Track record of successfully leading and managing FM operations teams
Strong stakeholder management skills with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach
Pragmatic and hands-on, with the ability to deliver under pressure
Confident and clear communicator across all levels
Demonstrates resilience and calm in high-pressure situations
Fully competent at this level, able to hit the ground running without the need for development
