Are you ready to ignite curiosity and make science meaningful? A Secondary School in Redbridge is looking for a passionate Science Teacher to join their dynamic department on a full-time, permanent basis starting September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 - and potentially KS5 depending on your subject specialism. Whether your background is in Biology, Chemistry or Physics, your subject knowledge and enthusiasm will help students explore scientific principles, apply critical thinking, and build the confidence to question the world around them.
You'll join a school community that values learning, high standards, and mutual respect. Staff development is a priority, and you'll benefit from tailored CPD and a collaborative team environment. The position is offered on the MPS/UPS Outer London Pay Scale.
Key Responsibilities
• Teach engaging Science lessons at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 if applicable)
• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to suit a range of learning needs
• Support student progress with effective assessment and feedback
• Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities
• Foster curiosity, analytical thinking, and practical science skills
• Maintain high standards in classroom management and pupil engagement
• Participate in departmental and whole-school initiatives
Qualifications and Experience
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Subject specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics
• Strong curriculum knowledge and lesson planning ability
• Experience teaching Science in a secondary school
• ECTs welcome with structured induction and mentoring
• Ability to inspire, motivate, and support all learners
• A commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding
