Are you an inspiring Drama Teacher looking for your next role? A forward-thinking secondary school in Essex is seeking a passionate and creative educator to join their team in September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position, and there is a TLR available for the right candidate with leadership potential.

You'll lead engaging Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students build confidence, express themselves, and explore new perspectives through performance. You'll receive a salary in line with the MPS/UPS scale, with the possibility of a TLR depending on experience and responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Drama lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture that fosters creativity
• Plan and assess lessons in line with the curriculum and school policy
• Direct school productions, showcases, or enrichment events
• Contribute to the wider arts provision within the school community
• Support student development in confidence, teamwork, and self-expression
• Take on additional leadership responsibilities if awarded the TLR

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Drama at secondary level
• Strong understanding of performance, theatre, and curriculum planning
• Ability to inspire and engage students through creative learning
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Ambition to take on wider departmental or pastoral responsibilities
• Open to both experienced teachers and confident ECTs
