Summary
Are you a passionate Music Teacher looking to shape a vibrant and creative curriculum? A secondary school in Redbridge is seeking a full-time Music Teacher to join their team from September 2025.
This permanent role is a fantastic opportunity for a music educator who can inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 - with the potential for KS5 - and bring performance, theory, and composition to life in the classroom. For a suitably experienced candidate, a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) may also be available.

You'll deliver engaging lessons, support extra-curricular activities, and play a key role in school performances and cultural life - helping to develop confidence, collaboration, and artistic expression in every student.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver dynamic Music lessons at KS3 and KS4 (and possibly KS5)
• Foster a love of music through practical performance, composition, and listening skills
• Support and lead extra-curricular opportunities such as ensembles or concerts
• Monitor and assess pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
• Promote musical excellence within the classroom and across the wider school community
• Work collaboratively within the department and across faculties
• Take on additional responsibility if awarded the TLR
Qualifications and Experience
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Music in a secondary school
• Strong practical and theoretical music knowledge
• Excellent classroom management and communication
• Confident pianist or accompanist preferred, though not essential
• ECTs welcome - full support and induction provided
• A passion for inclusive arts education and developing student talent
