Due to continued growth, we are looking to add an additional INDUSTRIAL CLEANING SUPERVISOR (non-working) to manage our Industrial Cleaning teams for maintenance work and outages.
Location: You will be based at Intech Environmental Limited, Scunthorpe, and will be required to work at various locations as directed by the Company to meet the needs of the business.
You will not be required to work outside the UK.
Intech Environmental Limited is one of the UK’s leading industrial cleaning, confined space rescue and rope access companies.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of outages and shutdown projects, ensuring that processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for managing a team of workers, maintaining safety standards, and optimising productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of High-Pressure Water Jetters, Media Blasting Technicians, Industrial Cleaners and Industrial Vacuumation operatives in demanding environments during busy outages and shutdown projects
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Driving standards, safety and professionalism at all times
• Ensure that all required PPE is worn correctly, properly maintained and responsibly treated to ensure adequate levels of protection and cost spend
• Organise work in accordance with Risk and Method Statements
• Ensure Toolbox Talks are executed and delivered responsibly
• Ensure that plant and machinery is checked before and after use, and asset housekeeping standards inside and out should be to a high standard
• Ensure that all required tools, PPE and equipment is loaded and accounted for when mobilising, and when demobilising, all returned PPE, tools and equipment is returned to stock/storage, clean and ready for use
• Attend meetings; safety / operations / clients to ensure planning and communication needs are fully supported
• Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks
• Ensure that work packs and timesheets are completed each week
• Ensure that the behaviour of the team reflects positively on Intech Environmental Limited, and a can-do approach is embedded in the team by example
• Train and mentor staff to improve performance and efficiency
• Maintain communication standards to keep both the client and Intech Environmental Limited fully briefed
Qualifications / Experience:
You will have:
• Proven experience as an Industrial Supervisor or similar role, with experience of supervising a close team of HPWJ and Industrial Vacuumation Operatives in demanding working environments (distinct advantage)
• Experience of shutdowns (energy from waste, steel plants, foundries and cement production plants)
• IOSH (desirable)
• LATS (desirable)
• Current and valid HPWJ Licence, High Risk Confined Space, CCNSG Safety Passport
• Full clean driving licence
• First aid certificate (desirable)
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Computer literate
