Crynodeb
The post holder works under supervision of the Audiology Lead and undertakes task and duties as delegated. They will work collaboratively with the Staff of Mediscan Diagnostic Services Ltd to meet the needs of patients, following policy and procedures.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• To deal with all hearing related issues (Diagnosis/fitting of hearing aids as well as wax removal etc for Mediscan)
• Their role also involves interpreting test results and developing treatment plans for patients
• To ensure equipment is used correctly and any faults or concerns are reported to senior staff.
• To liaise with a wide range of staff caring for the patient- including medical staff, staff from other departments.
• To dispose of any clinical waste to the appropriate areas in line with Mediscan policy.
• To maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
• To maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Communicate effectively with other team members and work as part of a team.
• Communicate effectively with patients and carers, recognising their needs for alternative methods of communication.
• Must be aware of infection prevention and control policies, practices and guidelines appropriate for their duties and must follow these at all times to maintain a safe environment for all; patients, visitors and staff.
• To ensure all mandatory training requirements are kept up to date.
