Then DWP may be the place for you. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Counter Fraud, Compliance and Debt (CFCD) Directorate on a team committed to tackling fraud encountered through our Economic, Serious and Organised Crime (ESOC) team. You will be at the forefront of tackling serious and organised crimes against DWP which often has links into wider criminality of modern slavery, human trafficking, and identity fraud. You will work with senior leaders across multi law enforcement agencies on high profile and serious fraud operations involving many suspects in multi-million-pound criminality.

As Senior Operational Leader, you will role model excellent senior management leadership, overseeing a team of criminal intelligence analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and strategic direction to ensure high-quality analysis and intelligence-led decision-making. You will provide transformational leadership to the site and beyond - leading through others, driving people engagement, and inspiring colleagues to deliver objectives.

This role involves managing analytical teams, conducting complex analysis, and developing intelligence products to support investigations and policy decisions.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead through others to achieve results.

  • Team Management:

Overseeing a team of analysts, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure high-quality analysis and professional development. 

  • Strategic Analysis:

Leading complex and wide-ranging analysis to inform strategic decision-making and complex investigations. Prioritising to meet business needs. 

  • Intelligence Product Development:

Developing and delivering high-quality intelligence products, such as reports, assessments, and briefings, to support various stakeholders. 

  • Collaboration:

Collaborating with other intelligence departments and law enforcement agencies to share information and coordinate efforts. 

  • Training and Development:

Identifying training needs for the team and build capability for self and others ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
