Description
The Child Protection Chair (Gr 9) is a vital position within our organization, dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of children in various educational and community environments. Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of child protection policies and procedures.
Organize training sessions for staff and volunteers on child protection awareness.
Act as the primary contact for child protection concerns and inquiries within the organization.
Create and disseminate educational materials on child safety for parents and community members.
Foster partnerships with local agencies and organizations to enhance child protection efforts.
Conduct regular assessments of the organization’s child protection practices to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Facilitate workshops and discussions that promote a culture of safety and respect for children within the community.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in social work, education, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in child protection or related roles.
Strong understanding of child rights and child protection legislation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and professionalism.
Experience in training and capacity building for staff and volunteers.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
