Role Responsibilities - Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant
As a Graduate TA, you will be a key support figure within the classroom, helping to ensure pupils feel engaged, supported, and inspired. Your day-to-day will include:
• Working under the guidance of class teachers to support whole-class learning
• Running small group interventions in literacy, numeracy, and phonics
• Providing targeted 1:1 academic support where needed
• Supporting emotional wellbeing and helping to manage classroom behaviour
• Assisting with lesson planning, resource prep, and classroom organisation
You’ll have the chance to observe high-quality teaching, receive feedback and mentoring, and build the essential skills needed for future roles in education.
Candidate Profile – Who We’re Looking For - Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant
Ideal applicants will bring:
• A 2:1 degree or above (Psychology, English, Education or related fields are especially welcome)
• A genuine passion for working with children and making a positive impact in schools
• A confident, empathetic, and proactive nature
• Prior experience with young people (e.g. mentoring, tutoring, coaching, youth work or similar)
