Job Description

Supporting the Head of Audit and Inspection in the strategic leadership of the Internal Audit function. This includes contributing to the development, completion and reporting on the Annual Audit Plan for the Council and wider Council group as well as leading and motivating the team, ensuring effective people management, allocation of the audit plan across the team, and the development of the team.

In addition, you will be responsible for the submission of reports to Council Group Audit Committees and equivalent at the ALEOs as well as presenting findings to Elected Members and senior officers.

You will be the Lead on specific high profile projects and investigations, act as Chief Audit Executive for Audit Glasgow clients and develop tender proposals for Audit Glasgow income generation opportunities and present proposals.
