Further details about the role

Are you passionate about ensuring that every child has the very best start to life?

At Ludlow Junior School, we work hard to make sure that we are meeting the needs of all of our pupils, inside and outside of the classroom, whatever their background, ability or interests. Therefore, we are looking for a teacher who will work hard to plan and teach, engaging and inspiring lessons that are adapted through the use of AfL to help every individual child to reach their full potential.

We are a five-form entry community academy school in Southampton, Hampshire with a large and supportive staff team who share the vision of providing our children with the best opportunities for the future. Working collaboratively to plan lessons, we share best practise and reflect on how to improve further.

We pride ourselves on the coaching and development provided for our team - every teacher has a bespoke coaching plan tailored to support them. We listen carefully to the interests and strengths of our teachers to develop them throughout their career to reach their own professional development targets and career goals; with many teachers moving on to be year leaders, Deputy Heads and Head teachers.

Visits to our school are welcomed and encouraged during term time, where you will be able to see our pupils and teachers in class. If you would like to book a tour of the school please contact Mrs Amy Noades via recruitment@ludlowjunior.org.uk

If you are shortlisted, an assessment process will take place on Tuesday 24th June 2025.

Commitment to safeguarding

Ludlow Junior School are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. As part of the selection process, we will consider any transferable risks as outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks
