Shape the future of supply chain planning at Müller.We’re looking for a driven and experienced Planning Lead to join our White Milk & Cream planning team in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a high-performing team and play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service through efficient production planning.
About the Role
As Planning Lead, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of production schedulers to create and execute production schedules that optimise cost, service, and efficiency. You will drive continuous improvement, champion operational excellence, and ensure alignment with Müller’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the planning team to deliver high performance
- Create and manage production plans and schedules to meet customer demand
- Drive root-cause analysis and implement improvements for plan adherence and service
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Logistics, and Customer Operations
- Support business change initiatives and system/process enhancements
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in planning or scheduling within a fast-paced manufacturing or supply chain environment
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in planning systems and tools (e.g., AS400, Excel, DPS,SAP)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
